How we know the Big Bang is true

Dr. Pamela Gay, Southern Illinois University

We can't look through a telescope and see the Big Bang, but we can look through our computer models and understand how physics built the universe we live in today from a spec of energy that tarted expanding about 13.7 billion years ago. In this talk we will look at several different lines of evidence that lead astronomers to the Big Bang and how even the smallest details are getting tested with modern observatories.
